Tann is located in the southeast of Lower Bavaria and, with around 4,000 inhabitants, is undoubtedly one of the communities in the Rottal-Inn district that is on solid economic footing. The A94 towards Munich (from Marktl) has been completed since autumn 2019. This greatly reduces and improves the infrastructural situation and transport connections to Munich. By car it takes around 60 minutes to reach the eastern outskirts of Munich.
