The municipality of Moosinning, located in the northeastern outskirts of Munich, has approximately 6,200 residents and is located in the Upper Bavarian district of Erding, about 5 kilometers southwest of the district capital. One of Munich's most beautiful golf courses, the 27-hole course of the Munich North Eichenried Golf Club, as well as the Open 9 golf course, the Eicherloh Estate equestrian center, the sports center with tennis courts, and several swimming lakes are located in the area.
